Join Formula SAE at KSU

Prospective and existing members are expected to take a rules test covering basic information about the technical rules for our racing series. The test is based directly on the official rules handbook and covers sections IC, V, IN, T, F.1, F.5, D, EV.1, EV.4, and EV.5.

The test consists of 40 questions and includes a mix of short-answer and multiple-choice questions. There is no need to worry about trick questions; all questions are straightforward and taken directly from the handbook.

The rules test can be taken year-round. If you are interested in joining, please contact us and join the Discord for more information.

Students who demonstrate that they are self-starters and are willing to consistently contribute to building a race car will earn their place on the team.

Annual dues include $30 for SAE International membership and $60 for new team members. All members will receive a team shirt.

Team-wide meetings are held every Monday at 8:00 PM in the Q Building.
